THAI Airways International (THAI) will be acquiring four more widebody Boeing 777-300ER aircraft from BOC Aviation.
The sale - announced in a release by Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited and The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited on March 21 – is expected to close in 2025. It is part of BOC Aviation's Qualified Aircraft Leasing Activity.
Within its fleet of 78 aircraft, THAI operates a fleet of 17 777-300ER aircraft. The last delivery of the widebody aircraft to THAI was in April 2022. THAI plans to expand its fleet to over 140 aircraft by 2029.
Based in Singapore, aircraft leasing company BOC Aviation has a fleet of 709 aircraft and engines managed, owned, or on order.
